1790 October – John Vere’s widow Mary dies – will leaves estate partly to niece Elizabeth Broke nee Beaumont (1748-1822), daughter of Elizabeth Vesey (1715-1791), Mary’s sister, who married Philip Bowes Broke. The Bowes Broke took on Vere as part of their family name after Elizabeth’s death in 1822.
