1531 bought Swardeston Hall from John Clerk and his third (?) wife Agnes, an alderman of Norwich (possibly the husband of Augustine’s mother Cecily, who must have died before 1531). After rebuilding and additions, passed on to son, William Steward alias Styward in 1566 – renamed Gowthorpe Manor; who passed it on to son, Thomas Styward; who sold it with Mary his wife and Christopher Layer to Dame Julian Berney in 1628 (c.1568-1645);

Possibly = sale of 22 to Styward and continuing to live in 24 and 26 Princes Street
1568-1570 landgable records show Augustine Steward has passed on Princes Inn messuage to son William (1527/30 – 1610) – clergyman and alderman. Neighbouring tenement (22?) owned by Augustine Sotherton (bef 1553-1585), grandson of Augustine Steward.
1571 Augustine Steward dies. Asks to be buried at St Peter Hungate where both his wives are buried.
1610 William Styward dies at Swardeston, Swardeston Hall (Gowthorpe Manor)
1628 Thomas Steward, son of William, grandson of Augustine, sells Gowthorpe Manor to Dame Julian Berney/Barney. Dame Julian also owns Princes Inn by this point.
